Red Velvet Cupcakes

Ingredients
  1. 1 cup vegetable oil
  2. 2 cups white sugar
  3. 2 eggs
  4. 4 tablespoons cocoa
  5. 4 tablespoons red flood coloring
  6. 1 teaspoon salt
  7. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  8. 1 cup buttermilk
  9. 2 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  10. 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  11. 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar

  12. For frosting:

  13. 5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  14. 1 cup milk
  15. 1 cup white sugar
  16. 1 cup butter
  17. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
